Hello all. I'm in the process of updating my themes with the new Breeze system tray icons and various others that have changed in the newer KDE versions.
New Plamsa 5 Themes?
Hi all,
If you've got any ideas on what Plasma 5 themes you'd like to see then let me know in the comment section. On a different note, dA seem a bit dead, not sure why. :/
Youtube Channel For My Themes?
Hi all
As you've seen I've no been doing any themes lately, might start doing some at some point. I was thinking about starting up a youtube channel all about KDE themes, theme making, tutorials and linking to DF for the themes. Sound like a good idea? Let me know what you think.
Update
Hi all, hope you had a nice Christmas and Santa got you some nice things. I'll be releasing the Racy theme shortly, now I've actually got around to finishing it. :-D
Plasma 5 Theme Design Workflow
If you ever wondered, how do I see changes on my themes as I design them? Well, in order to see the changes in realtime, there are a few things I need to do. Plasma keeps two cache files for the Plasma theme in ~/.cache, they are named accordingly. Every time I make a change in Inkscape, I save it out to the theme folder and then delete the two .cache files, then reapply the theme and this will show the new changes. This allows me to make the themes faster since I can see the changes as I do them. So, the System Settings>Workspace theme>Desktop Theme is always open and a Dolphin window at ~/.cache. I usually have KColourChooser open as

Hi! Been enjoying your theme goodies for years. In fact, because I've enjoyed the flexibility of later KDE4 with themes like yours so much, I haven't wanted to lose all that, so I've been reluctant to move to KDE5. It is just now making its way to my desktop for trial. Yea, I'm sooo slow... Anyway, I'll go snap up all your stuff that will work in KDE5.
If I may offer a few vague theme notions:
- Often I have photos on the desktop of countryside or villages and I've had to make a color scheme (which I've called "Warm Green") to go with it. It's based on OpenSUSE's golds-and-green but a more natural green and added some sky blue touches. Not found a theme that is just right though; usually just used Oxygen (with Aya for plasma).
- A woodsy theme (whether rustic or polished) may be nice. I haven't found a good one (or any for v5 so far).
- A theme with Ancient Egyptian style cues? Maybe even Upper and Lower versions (one desert-y, worked in stone, redder and one more marsh, mud, reedy)?
Again, thank you very much for the themes, then and now!
