This is a mock-up of the GNOME Tweak Tool style UI but with a better layout for changing GNOME Shell themes. The mock-up was done in Glade 3(user interface designer for GTK/GNOME) and some elements GIMPed.

Notes

Select a theme via the radiobutton.

The default theme option can be ticked at any time, which will put the shell theme back to the default one.

Install new theme allows you to install a new GNOME Shell theme which then adds it the top of the theme list.

What I mean is that the themes should be applied immediately (AFAIK we need to restart the shell to apply the changes). I'm going to make a simple mockup to show how I believe it must be.

Updated the mock-up so that clicking the radiobutton on the theme would apply it.

it would be great to have a preview inside of gnome tweak for the themes rather then just the text, I like thi idea and love the design

cool idea :)
shouldn't the check-boxes be the ones where you can only select one thing, it seems to suggest that you can check off multiple themes as of now ^^

Yeah, but I thought if you select one, the other would not select itself, so you can only apply one at a time.

I think what he means is have radio buttons, so it is crystal clear that only one may be selected. That is thier general function after all. Other than that, I would love to use that.

Yeah, I tried radio buttons but it wouldn't show the on and off states like the check boxes do.

Yep, could have put them in but the previewer only shows the radio buttons all selected, no non-selected state like it should be.

...30 sec in the gimp to draw the empty radios ;)

neverthless i like it. But I think it takes too much vertical space.
It should be like the old gnome gtk-theme selector IMHO. :)
