This is a screenshot of the current GNOME Shell from Git which shows the new workspace thumbnails, large icons(size can be set in the css file) for applications and search with Wiki and Google.

The workspace thumbnail panel slides out from the side of the screen and you can drag apps into the thumbnail, which creates a new workspace as well. The thumbnails show live, so videos play from the other workspaces.

This is most likely the final look of the GNOME Shell default theme (minus the Faenza icons of course) for the release in April 2011.

Nah, I was not talking about your wallpaper of choice. I meant that backgrounds should be blurred when using transparency in UI. It drastically increases readability.

Did they recently update the theme? The panel looks a lot nicer with that line under it. :O
Mutter effects also look more polished than compiz effects.

GNOME Shell is not part of Natty. You need a PPA to get it.
