Instructions:

Exact to ~/.themes and use the GNOME Tweak Tool to switch theme and titlebar. To switch the theme manually, you will have to use the dconf-editor in GNOME 3.

Metacity window border theme requires GTK2 pixmap engine.

This theme looks great

Just one problem though: The little icons for stuff like the close buttons on tabs seem to be drawing on black backgrounds for me, instead of transparent. Do you know how I might fix this?

is there also xfce support? my system runs with both, gtk3 and xfce applications so i would need a theme that supports both of them.

It's gtk3 so any desktop that supports GTK 3.2 will be fine.
