I'll be releasing a light panel version of the Google+ plasma workspace theme shortly, mainly due to the fact that some people have issues with seeing the text on the tasks. As I've explained in the description, this is a limitation of Plasma, since text colours can't be independently changed across all widgets and the text shadow is hard-coded. The text shadow which is hard-coded to appear depending on the text colour(which is what makes the text on the tasks look blurry), was done (why I think so) for the default plasma theme being translucent and so the text would have the shadow under it, making it much more readable, more so depending on your wallpaper colour.  Hopefully, the coming Plasma Workspace 2 won't have such poor limitations.
